So I decided to start a blog. No I am not married, nor engaged, but I feel like my life is just as exciting as those who are married. And I want to let my family see what I have been up to. So, Here is the short update on what my life is like right now. I finished my junior year at BYU and I moved to California to do an internship for my my Aunt and Uncle's clothing company for the summer. I work in the office on Tuesday's and Thursday's, doing projects in HR and Marketing, and watch their cute kids at home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Techniquely I guess I am a mom, and therefore qualify for the world of blogging.
Being in CA has been so much fun. My eyes have been opened to so many new things. We live and work in Corona, but go to LA quite frequently. I have worked a few times at the LA Showroom which is in the California Mart where EVERY major clothing company has an office or showroom. It was so fun to walk around and see all of the companies and take a peek at their "behind the scenes."
Everyone was getting ready for market week and that place was crazy, the fashion industry is quite intense!
In this halway there were a bunch of different sets, for merchandisers and vendors. They were also setting places for photo shoots. This is in the courtyard of the California Mart. I decided that this guy symbolizes my internship and the industry-Freakish and intimidating at first, but once I got to know him- Not so bad, and actually pretty fun! He reminds me of the BFG ; ) I took this picture while I was driving downtown because I couldn't believe how streets were just lined with textile markets. I saw some of the most beautiful (and hideous) fabrics!!!
Look how cute!
Jesse and my super handsome nephews came and played with me for a week. It was so fun having them here. This "choo choo" went around the huge outside mall. It covered four blocks!
My cousins [or kids rather:)] and Collin chillin' with the flamingos
We also went to the Wild Animal Park. And took the safari ride to see all the animadls in their natural habitat... We waited 2 hours to ride it, and the kids were so wrestless and just wanted to get off! Finally finally the gorillas! I don't want to sound like debbie downer, but I think we walked for about an hour to find them!! Really though... it was a super fun day, the park was beautiful, and the kids had a great time!
